I am Gary Bernasconi – a life artist.

My life has always been a blend of art and movement, where creativity and physical discipline inspire and shape each other.

​

Born and raised in Ticino, I learned hard work early on in my family’s hotel business in Lugano, yet I was always drawn to nature and my grandmother’s home in Arogno. Today, I have made it my home and studio, where I spend time as soon as I return from my work as a trainer.

I am increasingly focusing on art, using my energy to create works that tell stories.

 

Whether designing jewelry or exploring other forms of art, I am fascinated by the love for detail and how even the smallest element can shape the whole. This attention to detail has also always influenced my work as a coach.

 

For many years, I have worked with elite athletes, helping them refine their performance with a balance of technique and intuition.

As a conditioning coach for the Swiss Ski Aerials Team, I have the privilege of working closely with some of the best in sports, supporting them not just physically but in every way. For me, coaching is a creative process—one that requires the same openness and flexibility I find in my art. I believe in understanding the person behind the performance, respecting their unique energy, and finding the best way to help them move forward.

Art, like sport, teaches us resilience and trust. Every piece I create and every training session I lead reflects this philosophy.

 

For me, it’s about finding harmony between ambition and self-expression, between discipline and inspiration. My work—in all its forms—aims to convey this sense of balance and connection.
